Floodlighting on Trust Land at Mosman Drill Hall Common

Mosman Council is inviting public comment on a proposal to install floodlighting at the three existing netball courts at Mosman Drill Hall Common.

The Common is managed by Mosman Council under an agreement with the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust, which is the owner and consent authority for the site.

Council is seeking community input into the floodlighting concept. Three options are provided, all of which, Council says, have little to no light spill to adjoining properties.Under the Harbour Trust’s Management Plan the courts are currently limited to day-time use. The Mosman Netball Club says this limitation severely restricts each team’s time for practice. Council has commenced preliminary community consultation – see link to Council’s website for information about the proposal.
