HPG Annual General Meeting 2021/2022

The 2021/22 Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will be held at 6.30 pm on Wednesday 7 September 2022 at Mosman Square Seniors Centre, Spit Junction, Mosman NSW 2088. Please note that during the upgrade of Mosman Square and the Village Green Mosman Council recommends parking in the Vista St carpark and walk through Myagah Mews.

Our 2021 meeting was cancelled due to COVID, and much has happened in the two years since our last meeting. The recommendations from the Independent Review of the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust were released, and the Trust Act was amended. HPG played a significant role in drafting the amendments, and those efforts were acknowledged in Parliament by the Minister and several politicians across party lines who supported the Bill.

Over the past two years HPG has also represented the community voice in submissions on various important issues to the Harbour Trust and government.

We sincerely hope you can attend this important meeting of your association. COVID protocols will be adhered to, and we encourage the use of masks. Refreshments will be served.

Guest speaker: Kevin O’Brien

Our guest speaker is Brigadier Kevin O’Brien, CSC (Ret’d), a former board member of Sydney Harbour Federation Trust and author of Defending Middle Head: A Short History. Kevin had a distinguished military career, serving in the Australian Army for 33 years, and during part of that time he was based at the Australian Army Headquarters Training Command at Georges Heights, Middle Head.

Middle Head is unique in its layers of natural, indigenous and military heritage, and Kevin’s passion for the headland will provide fascinating insights into this special part of Sydney Harbour foreshore.
